  1. BTW: I'm not sure if it was just me, but I wanted to edit the thread title in last week's Drama and Turkey Awards and can't see how to do it. It gets changed through time from nominations to vote, to results, so it's helpful to be able to do it myself.
You can still do it yourself Barney but just a slightly different way to do it. Click 'edit post' then when your post opens up, click on 'use full editor' and you then get access to the title/subtitle. I hope that helps. :)

Thanks, Tracy. I tried that, but nothing happens when I click on 'Use full editor'. :(

  2. Thanks, Sal for all that work. I'm liking the blue skin - suits me better than the red we had yesterday.

  3. I am amazed by the small size of the range of subscriptions on offer. The most expensive subscription is GBP6.50, which will just about buy one non-alcoholic cocktail in this month's favourite watering hole near my office in Canary Wharf. Other sites that I am a member of (no names, ...) let people donate much more.

 The sub is £6.50, but there's nothing to stop people donating more if they feel like it / can afford it, is there?

  4. Yeah, that's the sort of thing I mean - as far as I can see there are no more posts than normal, but the number at th top of the page seems to suggest that there are.

That is the correct number of posts. That is how many posts are on the board. The board software cannot suggest that there are more posts than there really are.

Though the new posts thing isn't an issue with me, because I only read a small portion of the whole, I have noticed it since it turned green - simply because it is green (not an issue, Sal!) - and the numbers are a lot higher than before. However, I have a theory. That is that before, it showed "New posts since last visit", as most boards seem to do. Maybe now it keeps on counting over a 24 hour period, regardless of number of visits? I was on earlier (about an hour ago) so any new posts should be timed from around 8.45. However, there are new posts there from around 10pm yesterday.

Not sure I'm explaining this properly...

<Note to self: currently 227 new posts, between 22.02 and last post timed at 09.57>

:blushing: Got that wrong, didn't I! There are now 257 new posts since my last at 10.01 and the earlier posts have gone from the list.

  5. My phone changed this morning and it's set to EST. I thought it was the last Sunday in March here too...

<Fogged brain> Yesterday was the last Sunday in March and the clocks changed in the early hours (can't remember if it's 1 or 2 am) yesterday morning

  6. I'm glad this upgrade went more easily, Sal. My husband does mine on N&F and I know that it can be rough going sometimes.

Sorry to say that I don't like the banner. I think that because it's so dark it is very much 'in my face'. I'm finding the font difficult, but as I'm waiting for my new glasses, that might be the problem.

Apart from that, I like it. It's stylish and classy. Perhaps when you have time to sort out the choice of skins those who would like something more 'homely' and neighbours-ish will find what they need.

    Thanks.

  7. I've never set up a community before, so I'm not entirely sure. Can you answer the following questions for me, which will help me to help you!

    1. Are you a member of LJ already?

    2. Can you read the entry I made, when you follow the link?

If you've already got it open, can you please close the page, and access it by following the link in the first post again? Ta. :)

No, I'm not a member of LJ

Yes, I've been back and clicked on 'link' where several folk have posted comments.

    Thanks.
