  1. Today
  2. It is good that the show has familiar faces from 3 major soaps - Corrie, Neighbours and H&A.
  3. I’ve started watching the first two episodes and I want to like it, but something is missing for me. There’s lots of plot(ting), maybe too much, probably to fill up time due to the absence of character development. Jackie is the standout star, holding it all together, mainly because no-one else gets much of a chance to shine. There’s a story here somewhere, but without scene setting, it’s all a bit flat. I appreciate seeing Lassisters’ hotel corridor and room being heavily utilised.
  4. Not tetribly impressed. so far but.will watch again tonight. I think Jackie is holding it together and has kept me watching otherwise I might not have bothered with it.
  5. I'm going to watch it just for this
  6. Yeah, it's about Evonne Goolagong Cawley. Should be good!
  7. I didnt like the ending to be honest either with The Son easing back into the family he was just as much to blame for all the pain that was caused. It was tripe and even more reason I won't be watching any spin offs with Robinson or Ramsays with J.H in charge.
  8. Oh, that's Ben isn't it? I like him. Is it about the tennis player?
  9. Felix Mallard is in a new TV show, which is set to air on ABC from 4th Jan 2026. It looks pretty good.
  10. I have started a couple of other threads to start us off. Not sure whether Tak and Matty is Neighbours Chat or other projects, but I'll stick it in here for now. ETA: I think it might be more Neighbours Chat at the moment so have moved it there
  11. This is a new show on Apple TV, I'm not sure if anyone has seen it (first episode is on Amazon Prime) I'm loving it - it's post-apocalyptic and I am finding it high quality stuff. In episode 2 I think, I recognise Priya from Neighbours is in it! It's a supporting role and at the moment she's not interested in joining the struggle of the main characters. However, I think this might change in the future particularly if it's renewed for Season 2 due to her 9 year old son in the mix (being part of the hive mind) I think it might eventually persuade her to start fighting back. Has anyone watched it? I'm not sure how many subscribe to Apple TV in the UK.
  12. I think it would have worked better had the whole killer son in law part not been in it. That didn’t play any real part in the climax or the overall main narrative.
  13. Yesterday
  14. I wasn't sure, but it made me think more of the location where Andrea pushed Dee off a cliff. I wouldn't necessarily say 'worth it', I don't really rate it that highly, a lot of flaws and not a patch on Neighbours. I also questioned each episode whether I should continue with it, and I only did to see how it played out, but I still found it absorbing in places and enjoyable at times (I zoned out in a lot of other parts though). Though it is also good if you enjoy spotting those who appeared on Neighbours.
  15. I've always found DS... interesting. There's a reason I delurked here and not there.
  16. @Sayaka made the good suggestion that we create a new forum to talk about what the actors are up to post-Neighbours (whether they left before the show ended or when it actually ended). The post about Jackie's new show, The Imposter, has now been moved here from the Entertainment forum.
  17. Last week
  18. Wonder what the next one will be... Krista and Delta Goodrem fighting over their dad Curly Watts
  19. I must admit I haven't watched any episodes since the first one. I was intending to but got caught up in other things. I think I was a bit put off by the ending of the first. Is it worth finishing, in people's view?
  20. The DS thread for the show is... Interesting? https://forums.digitalspy.com/discussion/2487796/the-imposter-channel-5-9pm-15-12
  21. Just started watching this and does anyone think that the youngest son looks like Ben Hall (Ned Willis) although it isn’t him in the role?
  22. I watched it not just because Jackie was in it, but because the Channel 5 drama's are normally good, but this was awful.
  23. Is that the same location Amanda (Jane’s Mum) fell off the cliff?
  24. As expected, I didn't think it reached a high climax. Over all, I did enjoy and all the loose ends were conveniently pinned on The Imposter. Dannii's part seemed rather small, although storyline wise she couldn't really appear earlier. I wonder if they couldn't afford her for a larger role
  25. It’s pretty bad, low budget stuff. I’ve mentioned this in the finale episode thread, but watching the first part of this has made me realise it’s JH’s style of writing, storytelling and (lack of) characterisation that’s caused me to drift away from Neighbours over the last few years.
  26. Half of this is filmed at Lassiters
  27. I know this seems superficial but the wig is putting me off watching it. It's giving me the impression it's going to be cheap/not very good. If the attention to detail isn't strong enough to give her a proper costume, what's the writing going to be like? Rightly or wrongly, that's perceived value for you.
