Raw16 Posted December 19 Report Posted December 19 I watched it not just because Jackie was in it, but because the Channel 5 drama's are normally good, but this was awful.
Neighboursfan200497 Posted December 19 Report Posted December 19 Just started watching this and does anyone think that the youngest son looks like Ben Hall (Ned Willis) although it isn’t him in the role? 2
honeykid Posted December 19 Report Posted December 19 The DS thread for the show is... Interesting? https://forums.digitalspy.com/discussion/2487796/the-imposter-channel-5-9pm-15-12
wizardt™ Posted December 19 Author Report Posted December 19 I must admit I haven't watched any episodes since the first one. I was intending to but got caught up in other things. I think I was a bit put off by the ending of the first. Is it worth finishing, in people's view?
83ray1 Posted December 19 Report Posted December 19 Wonder what the next one will be... Krista and Delta Goodrem fighting over their dad Curly Watts 6

I wouldn't necessarily say 'worth it', I don't really rate it that highly, a lot of flaws and not a patch on Neighbours. I also questioned each episode whether I should continue with it, and I only did to see how it played out, but I still found it absorbing in places and enjoyable at times (I zoned out in a lot of other parts though). Though it is also good if you enjoy spotting those who appeared on Neighbours. 1

basdfg Posted December 21 Report Posted December 21 I think it would have worked better had the whole killer son in law part not been in it. That didn’t play any real part in the climax or the overall main narrative.
Raw16 Posted Sunday at 11:10 Report Posted Sunday at 11:10 I didnt like the ending to be honest either with The Son easing back into the family he was just as much to blame for all the pain that was caused. It was tripe and even more reason I won't be watching any spin offs with Robinson or Ramsays with J.H in charge.

chick_pea Posted Sunday at 22:10 Report Posted Sunday at 22:10 Not tetribly impressed. so far but.will watch again tonight. I think Jackie is holding it together and has kept me watching otherwise I might not have bothered with it. 1
Benji Posted Sunday at 22:18 Report Posted Sunday at 22:18 I’ve started watching the first two episodes and I want to like it, but something is missing for me. There’s lots of plot(ting), maybe too much, probably to fill up time due to the absence of character development. Jackie is the standout star, holding it all together, mainly because no-one else gets much of a chance to shine. There’s a story here somewhere, but without scene setting, it’s all a bit flat. I appreciate seeing Lassisters’ hotel corridor and room being heavily utilised.
Neighboursfan1982 Posted Sunday at 22:30 Report Posted Sunday at 22:30 It is good that the show has familiar faces from 3 major soaps - Corrie, Neighbours and H&A.
adlerj Posted Monday at 00:16 Report Posted Monday at 00:16 I just tried watching it, but couldn't really get through it. I got the first episode done, but stopped watching early on in the second episode. It was fine, but felt a bit too familiar in places. Like Neighbours, but with more swearing and sex scenes. Bit jarring, if I'm being honest. Jackie was great from what I saw. The rest of the cast was good too. It's not BAD. Just not sure if it's really for me. 1
daydreambeliever Posted Monday at 04:48 Report Posted Monday at 04:48 I watched the first half last night with my mum, we both liked it enough to watch the second half tonight. I was pointing out the H&A people as Mum doesn't watch Neighbours, nor very much of H&A but I could tell her who they played at least.
