I watched this over the last week. It was ok. Jackie was good and it was interesting to see her in another role. I have seen her in Prisoner, Flying Drs and briefly in Sons and Daughters, but that was all a long time ago. There were moments when her face was pure Susan. That's not a criticism but most of the time I believed I was watching a different character but then there would be the odd moment. I felt the ending was really rushed (Funnily enough at my book group we often say the end of the book is the weakest point with everything getting wrapped up really quickly - same with this) and there were still lots of unanswered questions, not least the whole why. Dannii Minogue's part while significant was much smaller than the advertising had suggested which was annoying. Watching her occasionally reminded me of Kylie in her Neighbours days, more than Kylie reminds me of her old self most of the time. I was very pleased to see another Neighbours alumni in the form of Nicholas Bell appear. He's popped up in so much over the years, it's always nice to see him. So over all am I glad I watched it? I'm not sure I'd go that far. On the other hand I have seen worse... a lot worse.....

Yep, I've watched it. Looking forward to Season 2.

The Andrea/Dee stuff was filmed in Byron Bay. So won't have been there I don't think.

I've just been watching the final episode. I can't get over the hate from some quarters "Ohhh nothing happens" Oh but it does. Loads happens. It's a very deep show though La Chica o El Mundo. Got to be El Mundo. Hope some of you watch it as time goes on so we can discuss It is a bit obscure on Apple TV, I don't think many have it.

I love this show. It seems to be a bit Marmite online with some saying nothing happens. But I think a lot happens, it's more a show you really have to think about and put yourself in the place of the main character. It is such a refreshing change from the endless crime shows or shows where there is a lot of shooting of guns.

I love this, and it means we still have things to talk about. I kind of felt that wasn't something we had so much after the last axing so thank you both

I watched the first half last night with my mum, we both liked it enough to watch the second half tonight. I was pointing out the H&A people as Mum doesn't watch Neighbours, nor very much of H&A but I could tell her who they played at least.

I just tried watching it, but couldn't really get through it. I got the first episode done, but stopped watching early on in the second episode. It was fine, but felt a bit too familiar in places. Like Neighbours, but with more swearing and sex scenes. Bit jarring, if I'm being honest. Jackie was great from what I saw. The rest of the cast was good too. It's not BAD. Just not sure if it's really for me.

It is good that the show has familiar faces from 3 major soaps - Corrie, Neighbours and H&A.

I’ve started watching the first two episodes and I want to like it, but something is missing for me. There’s lots of plot(ting), maybe too much, probably to fill up time due to the absence of character development. Jackie is the standout star, holding it all together, mainly because no-one else gets much of a chance to shine. There’s a story here somewhere, but without scene setting, it’s all a bit flat. I appreciate seeing Lassisters’ hotel corridor and room being heavily utilised.

Not tetribly impressed. so far but.will watch again tonight. I think Jackie is holding it together and has kept me watching otherwise I might not have bothered with it.

I didnt like the ending to be honest either with The Son easing back into the family he was just as much to blame for all the pain that was caused. It was tripe and even more reason I won't be watching any spin offs with Robinson or Ramsays with J.H in charge.

Felix Mallard is in a new TV show, which is set to air on ABC from 4th Jan 2026. It looks pretty good.

I have started a couple of other threads to start us off. Not sure whether Tak and Matty is Neighbours Chat or other projects, but I'll stick it in here for now. ETA: I think it might be more Neighbours Chat at the moment so have moved it there

This is a new show on Apple TV, I'm not sure if anyone has seen it (first episode is on Amazon Prime) I'm loving it - it's post-apocalyptic and I am finding it high quality stuff. In episode 2 I think, I recognise Priya from Neighbours is in it! It's a supporting role and at the moment she's not interested in joining the struggle of the main characters. However, I think this might change in the future particularly if it's renewed for Season 2 due to her 9 year old son in the mix (being part of the hive mind) I think it might eventually persuade her to start fighting back. Has anyone watched it? I'm not sure how many subscribe to Apple TV in the UK.

I think it would have worked better had the whole killer son in law part not been in it. That didn’t play any real part in the climax or the overall main narrative.

I wasn't sure, but it made me think more of the location where Andrea pushed Dee off a cliff. I wouldn't necessarily say 'worth it', I don't really rate it that highly, a lot of flaws and not a patch on Neighbours. I also questioned each episode whether I should continue with it, and I only did to see how it played out, but I still found it absorbing in places and enjoyable at times (I zoned out in a lot of other parts though). Though it is also good if you enjoy spotting those who appeared on Neighbours.

I've always found DS... interesting. There's a reason I delurked here and not there.

@Sayaka made the good suggestion that we create a new forum to talk about what the actors are up to post-Neighbours (whether they left before the show ended or when it actually ended). The post about Jackie's new show, The Imposter, has now been moved here from the Entertainment forum.
